01
Who We Are
Zero Social ("we", "us", "our") is a social connection platform operated by Impact Zero Hub Pvt Ltd, a private limited company incorporated in India. Our mission is to help people build genuine human connections — and we take your privacy as seriously as that mission.
This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and what rights you have over your data. By using Zero Social, you agree to the practices described here.
Our commitment: We are not an advertising business. We do not sell your personal information. We never have and never will.
02
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly, information generated by your use of the app, and limited technical data needed to operate the service.
Information you provide:
- Account details: name, email address, date of birth, profile photo
- Profile information: bio, interests, location (city-level unless you choose otherwise)
- Communications: messages, posts, and interactions with other users
- Preferences and settings you configure in the app
Information we collect automatically:
- Device information: device type, operating system, app version
- Usage data: features used, time spent (aggregated, not surveillance)
- Log data: IP address, access times, crash reports
We do not collect precise GPS location unless you explicitly enable location-based features. We do not access your contacts, camera, or microphone without your active permission.
03
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate and improve Zero Social. That's it. Specifically:
- To create and manage your account
- To show you relevant people and communities based on your stated interests
- To enable messaging and social features
- To keep you and other users safe (moderation, trust and safety)
- To send you notifications you've opted into
- To fix bugs and improve the product
- To feature public user content and profile elements (such as username, profile photo, bio, and public posts) in Zero Social promotional materials
- To request and publish testimonials, success stories, and community spotlights (with consent where required by law)
- To comply with legal obligations
You can opt out of marketing features involving your profile details at any time in app settings (where available) or by contacting us at hello@zerosocial.app.
What we still do not do: We do not sell your personal information, serve third-party targeted ads, build advertising profiles for data brokers, or manipulate your behavior through algorithmic outrage loops.
04
Sharing Your Information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We share data in limited circumstances only:
- With other users: Your public profile information is visible to other Zero Social users per your privacy settings
- Vested processors: Carefully chosen partners who process or host limited data on our behalf under confidentiality and data-processing terms—such as cloud hosting, email delivery, product analytics (e.g. PostHog), and subscription management (e.g. Apple, Google, Stripe, RevenueCat). They help us operate Zero Social; they do not use your data for their own marketing, and we do not sell your information to them
- Legal requirements: When required by law, court order, or to protect the safety of users
- With your consent: Any other sharing requires your explicit opt-in
We are building Zero Social for the long term, with no intention of selling the company or your personal data. User trust is central to our mission—not something we treat as negotiable. Your rights in this Policy—including access, correction, and deletion—stay with you as we grow. If anything changed in a way that could materially affect how your data is handled, we would notify you when permitted under applicable law and remind you of those choices.
05
Data Retention & Deletion
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently delete your personal information within 7 days, except where we're required to retain it for legal obligations (such as financial records).
You can request deletion of specific data at any time without deleting your full account by contacting us at the address below.
06

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information

If we become aware of a data breach affecting your information, we will notify you promptly as required by applicable law.
