Looking for a home × Ready to adopt
Start in the pets and animals community — for people adopting, listing, fostering, or here for the animals in Mumbai.
Say whether you want to adopt, foster, or list a pet. Add the details the other side needs before they reach out.
Think Tinder or Hinge — for pet adoption. See pets and people that fit what you are looking for, then decide who to contact.
Chat or call directly. Adoption decisions stay between you and the person, NGO, or shelter you connect with.

Pet profiles go beyond a photo: temperament, care needs, history, and what kind of home would fit — so you can decide with more than a glance.
Fostering, emergency care, bonded pairs, special needs. Made by people who understand pets, not just listings.
Working Mumbai groups as of 22 August 2026. They are not Zero Social. We do not copy their animals onto this page.
Call BMC Dog Control first. That is rescue, not this matchup.

We connect people in Mumbai who are interested in pets and animals — not only people looking to adopt. Pet parents, first-time owners, feeders, rescuers, and anyone who wants animals in their life.
Group activities for pets sit next to the listings: park walks, play dates, weekend meetups, and small groups that already know the neighbourhood. Join one, or start one.
And a lot more that does not fit on an adoption card. Lost-and-found, emergency foster asks, vet and boarding recs, someone to sit with a nervous rescue, or just another pet parent who gets why you rearranged your week around a walk.
Zero Social is a platform that helps potential adopters, pet parents, rescuers, foster parents, shelters and organizations discover and connect with one another. We do not own, shelter, transport, medically treat, or make adoption decisions for pets. Screening stays with the shelter, NGO, or person listing the animal. Do not send money or UPI before you meet.
We highly encourage and boost rescue animals in adoptions. Illegal pet trade as per regional laws are removed by the platform. Please report if you find any such activity. Ethical breeders, if allowed by local laws, are allowed on the platform, but not boosted (reach is generally lower). If you are a registered NGO, shelter house please reach out to us for a free permanent boost.
The app is free to download. An adoption fee, if any, is between you and the NGO or foster — we do not promise ₹0. Some groups charge nothing (Cat Café Studio lists no adoption fee on their page); others charge a nominal amount. Monthly keep — food, vet — is separate from any fee.
Join the pets and animals community, create an adopt-side profile, then message the person or group listing the animal. Typical NGO path: inquiry, screen, home check, meet, paperwork. Guides in this city say NGO waits often run two weeks to a couple of months; fosters can be faster. Home checks exist because returns happen. We do not skip screening to grow.
Same animals, different search words. Indie, stray, and street dog are the Mumbai terms for local dogs — not a sale breed. This page is for those dogs and for cats, not “foreign pet” inventory.
Yes. Cats often sit longer than dogs in this city. Cat Café Studio in Versova already runs a named-cat adopt page (partner of The Feline Foundation). When partners list cats here, they show with status. We do not scrape their cats onto this page.
BMC guidance is that societies cannot legally ban pets. That does not mean this building will agree. Ask your household and society before you commit. Prefer animals already living in flats if that is a constraint.
Call BMC Dog Control on 9635839888 or city 1916 first, or use vhd.mcgm.gov.in. That is civic rescue, not this matchup. Come back here if you later need to list an animal that is ready for a home.
Create a Give a pet for adoption profile in the pets and animals community. Say who you are — individual, foster parent, shelter or NGO, rescue group, vet clinic, or street feeder. Add the animals and ages you have, placement type, health and care, and fee. Then add up to nine photos and a short about. One profile can cover several animals; names and personalities go in that about text. Screening stays yours. No personal UPI before a meet.
World For All’s named weekend in Bandra, usually late November. 2025 was at St. Theresa’s on 29–30 November. The next date is theirs to publish. This page is for the other weeks of the year — we are not a rival camp.
No. Zero Social is a platform that helps adopters, pet parents, rescuers, foster parents, shelters and organizations discover and connect with one another. The adoption discussion, screening, and decision happen directly between the people involved.
Yes. Individuals responsibly rehoming a pet can list them alongside shelters, NGOs, rescue groups, foster parents, vet clinics and street feeders.
Yes. Fostering is one of the placement types you can offer or look for, alongside permanent homes, emergency care, bonded pairs and special-needs care.
This varies by animal and by who is placing them, but commonly includes vaccination and sterilisation status, and sometimes a home visit or adoption agreement. Specifics are worked out directly with the person or organization rehoming the pet.
No. Zero Social does not verify, approve, or guarantee any listing, health claim, or person. Photo verification in the app is of people, not pets. Use judgement and ask questions directly. Screening stays with the partner.
Yes. Beyond adoption, you can meet fellow pet parents and animal lovers, and join or host pet-friendly meetups and group activities.
Yes, Zero Social is free to download and use on both the App Store and Google Play. Some in-app matchmaking actions can be Premium. That is separate from any adoption fee charged by an NGO or foster.
You’ll need the app to message people or organizations and to see full details, but setting up a profile takes a few minutes.
Launch focus is indie / stray / street dogs and cats across Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, and Thane. People may also rehome rabbits, birds, and other animals through the community, depending on what’s listed. Adopt is not a sale — we do not list breed puppies as “adoption.”
Adopt / give a home, or list this animal / find a home. Download Zero Social to join the pets and animals community.
