Who can list a pet here?
Anyone rehoming in Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, or Thane: individuals, foster parents, shelters and NGOs, rescue groups, vet clinics, and street feeders. There is no NGO-only gate. Say which of those you are on the profile.
Do I create a separate listing for each pet?
No. You create one Give a pet for adoption profile. Select every animal type and age you have, placement type, health and care, and fee. Add up to nine photos, then a short about — names, breed, personality. Optional extra photo sets and a voice intro if you want them. Pause the profile when you are not placing animals.
Can I give my own pet up for adoption here?
Yes. Individuals responsibly rehoming a pet list the same way as shelters and NGOs. Choose Individual when asked who listed the profile.
Can I charge an adoption fee?
The app is free to download. On the profile you can mark fee as free, a small fee for vaccination, case by case, or donation welcome. Pets are never sold here. Any fee is between you and the adopter.
Are breeders allowed on the platform?
We highly encourage and boost rescue animals in adoptions. Illegal pet trade as per regional laws are removed by the platform. Please report if you find any such activity. Ethical breeders, if allowed by local laws, are allowed on the platform, but not boosted (reach is generally lower). If you are a registered NGO, shelter house please reach out to us for a free permanent boost.
Does Zero Social verify the pets or people listed?
No. Zero Social does not verify, approve, or guarantee any listing, health claim, or person. Photo verification in the app is of people, not pets. Use judgement. Screening stays with you.
Can I list for foster or emergency care, not only a permanent home?
Yes. Placement type on the profile includes permanent, foster, emergency care, bonded pair, and lifetime care. You can select more than one.
How do adopters find the animals I list?
People looking to adopt browse Give for adoption profiles — swipe-style, with filters for animal, age, and placement type. They can like and message you; you can also browse homes and reach out first. A match opens a chat.
Is Zero Social a shelter or rescue organization in Mumbai?
No. Zero Social is a platform that helps adopters, pet parents, rescuers, foster parents, shelters and organizations discover and connect with one another. The adoption discussion, screening, and decision happen directly between the people involved.
Is Zero Social free to use?
Yes, Zero Social is free to download and use on both the App Store and Google Play. Some in-app matchmaking actions can be Premium. That is separate from any adoption fee you set.
Do I need to create an account to list?
Yes. You’ll need the app to create a Give for adoption profile and to message homes. Setting up a profile takes a few minutes.
Is this only for dogs and cats in Mumbai?
Launch focus is indie / stray / street dogs and cats across Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, and Thane. The profile also lets you mark rabbits, birds, and other animals if that is what you have. This is not a sale board — we do not list breed puppies as “adoption.”
